Shaun was recently very fortunate to receive the FSBI medal, awarded this year at the symposium at the University of Hull. The medal is given each year to “an early career scientist who is deemed to have made exceptional advances in the study of fish biology and/or fisheries science in recognition of their achievements”. The occasion was even more special because Shaun received the award along side long time mentor Neil Metcalfe (who received the Beverton Medal) and Isabelle Cote (who received the Le Cren Medal).
